Ch\u00e2teau Giscours, asked him to stay on to develop ambitious projects.\nTo perfect his wine knowledge, Alexander attended a training course at the Bordeaux Institute of Oenology.    <\/p>\n\n<p>In 1998, Eric Albada Jelgersma entrusted him with the management of Ch\u00e2teau Giscours and then Ch\u00e2teau du Tertre (sold in 2021), two Grands Crus Class\u00e9s in the Margaux appellation.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Since 2004, the Albada Jelgersma family has owned a winery in Italy, Caiarossa, located in the heart of the Val di Cecina on the Tuscan coast, for which Alexander is also responsible for management.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Alexander is committed to making his estates shine all over the world.\nHe also sits on the boards of the Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux, the Commanderie du Bontemps, the Conseil des Grands Crus Class\u00e9s en 1855 and the Syndicat de Margaux.   <\/p>\n\n<p>He is Treasurer of the Bordeaux Wine Academy and a member of the International Wine Academy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","member_country":[108],"member_affiliation":[89],"class_list":["post-1785","member","type-member","status-publish","hentry","member_country-netherlands","member_affiliation-production-en"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.9 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>Alexander van Beek | Acad\u00e9mie Internationale du Vin<\/title>\n<meta name=\"robots\" content=\"index, follow, max-snippet:-1, max-image-preview:large, max-video-preview:-1\" \/>\n<link rel=\"canonical\" href=\"https:\/\/academievin.org\/en\/membre\/alexander-van-beek\/\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:locale\" content=\"en_US\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:type\" content=\"article\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:title\" content=\"Alexander van Beek | Acad\u00e9mie Internationale du Vin\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:description\" content=\"General Manager of Ch\u00e2teau Giscours and Caiarossa.
