He has taught in Vi\u00e7osa (Brazil) and is a lecturer at Ecole Normale Sup\u00e9rieure, Science Po and Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC). His work focuses on the ecology and evolution of mutual benefit associations (symbioses). A mycologist and botanist, he works in particular on mycorrhizal symbioses, which unite soil fungi with plant roots.   <\/p>\n\n<p>President of BioG\u00e9e, member of the Acad\u00e9mie d&#8217;Agriculture de France and the Institut Universitaire de France, he is editor of four international scientific journals and the popular magazine <em>Esp\u00e8ce<\/em>. He has published more than 210 research articles and 250 popular articles, which can be downloaded from his website, and a hundred or so videos are available on YouTube. <\/p>\n\n<p>He has published books for the general public on microbiota<em>(Jamais seul<\/em>, 2017), tannins<em>(Les go\u00fbts et les couleurs du monde<\/em>, 2019) and soil<em>(L&#8217;origine du Monde<\/em>, 2021), as well as his chronicles broadcast on France-Inter<em>(Petites histoires naturelles<\/em>, 2021), published by Actes Sud. He is co-author of a comic strip on soil with Mathieu Burniat<g id=\"gid_4\">(Sous Terre<\/g>, 2021, Dargaud).
