Born in Zurich in 1950, Andreas Keller studied German language and art history before devoting himself entirely to wine.\nFor him, wine is a central cultural asset of the West, which must be seen in the context of its entire cultural and historical heritage. <\/p>\n\n
From its inception in 1980, he worked as editor and then editor-in-chief of Vinum magazine, which soon became a leading international wine magazine.\nDuring this period, he published many highly acclaimed articles, notably on the wines of France and Switzerland. <\/p>\n\n
From 1989 to 1991, he was director of the DIVO wine club in Lausanne, an initiative of Geneva journalist Constant Bourquin, founder of the Acad\u00e9mie Internationale du Vin.\nIn 1992, he founded his own Weininformation press office in Zurich.\nFor 15 years, his main task was to publish the oenogastronomic magazine marmite.\nAt the same time, he was in charge of organizing the Lanson Champagne Prize for journalists, as well as public relations for wines from Valais, Vaud, German-speaking Switzerland, Alto Adige and Austria. <\/p>\n\n
For many years, he also taught wine geography at the Z\u00fcrcher Hochschule f\u00fcr Angewandte Wissenschaften.\nIn 2002, together with three other wine journalists, he founded the M\u00e9moire des Vins Suisses association, with the aim of securing Swiss quality wines a place in the international concert of noble wines. <\/p>\n\n
