Jane Anson
With a Master's degree from University College London (UCL), Jane Anson is a journalist, author and wine columnist.
Based in Bordeaux since 2003, she is the founder of www.janeanson.com, created in 2021 after 18 years as Bordeaux correspondent for Decanter magazine.
Jane Anson is also the author of several books, including "Inside Bordeaux", an innovative guide to Bordeaux wines, published in 2020 (Berry Bros. & Rudd Press) with Kees Van Leeuwen as scientific advisor. His other books include: Le Vin Naturellement (published by EPA, Wine Revolution), Elixirs (published by de La Martinière, Bordeaux Legends: The 1855 First Growth Wines ), "Haut-Bailly; Angélus"; and "The Wine Opus".
Named Wine Communicator of the Year 2023 by the IWSC, she was also named Louis Roederer Wine Online Communicator of the Year 2020, and Born Digital Best Editorial 2020. Jane Anson is also an instructor at the Bordeaux Wine School, and created The Mentor "Week in 2022, an annual charity week to support young people's involvement in wine.
She graduated from the DUAD program at the Bordeaux Institute of Oenology in 2013. In 2023, she joined the Institute as a wine critic.
