Jeannie Cho Lee MW

Jeannie Cho Lee is Asia's first Master of Wine (MW), as well as an award-winning author, educator, wine critic, judge and former TV host. In 2021, she was honored as a Chevalier dans l'Ordre National de la Légion d'Honneur by the French government for her contributions to the wine industry. Jeannie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Smith College, a Master's degree from Harvard University, and a PhD in marketing and branding from Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

She is currently a professor at Hong Kong Polytechnic University's School of Hotel and Tourism Management and a wine consultant for Singapore Airlines, Hospices de Beaune, Shinsegae Inc, and Sun Hospitality Group. Jeannie has written three award-winning books, including Asian Palate, which explores Asian food and wine pairings, and Mastering Wine for the Asian Palate. Her third book, The 100 Burgundy, won the Gourmand Award 2020 for best wine book for French wines.

Jeannie has 30 years' experience in wine communications and has co-hosted In Vino Veritas on TVB Pearl in Hong Kong. She writes for publications such as Decanter, Wine Spectator and Forbes. She holds a Cuisine Certificate from Cordon Bleu and is a certified wine educator. As a sought-after speaker, she hosts master classes and lectures on fine wines and the Asian consumer market. She is also committed to charity, having raised millions of dollars for various causes. Jeannie sits on the board of The Nature Conservancy's Asia Pacific Council and is a member of the board of La Cité du Vin in Bordeaux.
