Pierre Tari

Pierre Tari was a founding member of AIV in its heroic days.

He has had a long winegrowing career with the family estates: Château Branaire Ducru in Saint Julien, Château Giscours in Margaux and others.

Pierre is active in the Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux and other socio-professional organizations. A key player in the Bordeaux wine economy, he leads major market-opening trips through the CIVB, notably to the United States and Japan.

Although not politically involved, he is a former mayor of Labarde in Margaux, and a former member of the Foire Internationale de Bordeaux.

Pierre created the Polo Club de Bordeaux and its Giscours team, which wins prestigious trophies all over the world, particularly in England, North and South America, China, India, New Zealand, Australia and Africa.

A member of numerous cultural associations, Pierre has retired to Rougement in Switzerland and contributes to the philosophical and gustatory pursuit of the Grail of noble wine in the spirit of the deep soul of AIV.
