Raymond Paccot

After studying pedagogy at the Ecole Normale de Lausanne, Raymond taught for 1 year before a trip to Africa.

Following his studies in viticulture and oenology at the Haute Ecole de Changins in Nyon, he worked at Domaine Chandon in Napa Valley, California, then at Cavas Murviedro in Valencia, Spain, for 2 years.

Back at Domaine La Colombe in Féchy, Switzerland, Raymond assists his father Roger before succeeding him in 1983. His daughter Laura takes over the management of Domaine La Colombe in 2023.

After 10 years as Chancellor of the International Wine Academy, he will hand over the reins to Véronique Sanders in December 2024.

Philosophy

In 2000, biodynamic viticulture was introduced.
From then on, the Domaine’s strategy was clear and simple: bring the soil to life, use natural methods, and raise its wines like its children to help them reveal themselves and become great.
