Thomas Duroux
Born in Bordeaux in 1970, Thomas grew up in a French family on his father's side and Italian on his mother's.
An agricultural engineer and oenologist, he began his career in the Tokaj vineyards in the mid-90s. Returning to Bordeaux in the spring of 1997, he worked briefly for the GAM AUDY group, managing Château Clinet in Pomerol among other estates, before joining the MONDAVI family's Languedoc adventure.
In 2001, Tim Mondavi asked him to take over the technical management of Tenuta dell'Ornellaia in the Tuscan appellation of Bolgheri.
In 2004, Thomas Duroux returned to his homeland to take over as General Manager of Château Palmer, a position he still holds today.
Married to a Californian and the father of two daughters, Thomas speaks French, Italian and English.
