Véronique Sanders and Fiona Morrison have orchestrated three days of visits to some of Bordeaux’s most prestigious châteaux.
The first day included visits to Château Palmer, Château Lafite Rothschild, where lunch was accompanied by bottles of the remarkable 1949 vintage, Château Cos d’Estournel and a memorable evening at Château Ducru-Beaucaillou.
The following day, after a lecture and tasting at the Institut des Sciences de la Vigne et du Vin, members visited Château Haut-Bailly for an excellent lunch, followed by Château de Fargues and a reception at Château Haut-Brion.
The last day was devoted to the right bank, with visits to Le Pin, Figeac, Cheval Blanc and Petrus, before dinner at L’Angélus.
