Wednesday, June 9: Beaune Day

8:30 a.m.
: Departure by bus from the Louis Véry parking lot.

8:45 a.m.
Arrival at the Cité des Climats et vins de Bourgogne.
Welcome by Benoît de Charette, President of the Cité des Climats et vins de Bourgogne.

9:00 a.m.
Participants will be divided into two groups of about 40 people for two sessions:

  • a tour of the Musée de la Cité, dedicated to the history of Burgundy’s wine industry and the unique “Climats” system;
  • Seated wine tasting with commentary featuring wines from the Chablis region, the Mâconnais, and the Côte Chalonnaise.

10:30 a.m.
: The two groups switch places.

12:15 p.m.
: Light lunch at the Cité des Climats featuring Burgundy wines.

2:15 p.m.
: Departure from the Cité.

2:30 p.m.
: Tour of a “Grande Maison” in Beaune, after dividing into four predetermined groups of about 20 people each.

4:30 p.m.
. Return to the hotels and free time.

7:00 p.m.
: Private guided tour of the Hôtel-Dieu after it has closed to the public.

8:00 p.m.
: Dinner at the Chambre du Roy, inside the Hôtel-Dieu.

Around 10:30 p.m.
Return to hotels.


Thursday, June 10: Côte de Nuits Day

8:30 a.m.
: Departure by bus from the Louis Véry parking lot.

9:30 a.m.
: Plenary session on viticulture at the Château du Clos de Vougeot:

Burgundy and Climate Change: How Can Tilling, Pruning, Trellising, and Clone Selection Help Address Rising Temperatures?

A panel discussion moderated by Emmanuel Bourguignon, featuring three or four winemakers who are particularly committed to these issues.

11:00 a.m.
: Seated wine tasting at Château du Clos de Vougeot, featuring commentary from leading estates of the Côte de Nuits, members ofthe Association of Family-Owned Estates of Burgundy.

12:15 p.m.
Tour of the Château du Clos de Vougeot, the former wine-making facility of the Cîteaux monks and headquarters of the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin and the Association des Climats du vignoble de Bourgogne – a World Heritage Site.
Video screening.

12:45 p.m.
Lunch at the Château du Clos de Vougeot.

3:00 p.m.
Tour of Domaine Dujac for all participants.
Seated, guided tasting of five pairs of grands crus.

6:00 p.m.
: Cocktails at Maison Faiveley.

7:00 p.m.
Dinner at Maison Faiveley.

10:00 p.m.
Return to Beaune and drop-off at the Louis Véry parking lot.


Friday, June 11: Côte de Beaune Day

8:30 a.m.
. Participants will be divided into the four predetermined groups, and the buses will depart from the Louis Véry parking lot.

9:00 a.m.

  • Two groups of about 20 people will visit a large white wine estate in Meursault or Puligny-Montrachet;
  • Two groups of about 20 people will visit a major red wine estate in Pommard or Volnay.

10:30 a.m.
: The groups will switch.

12:00 p.m.
: Lunch at the Meursault Leprosarium, a Cluniac site.

2:00 p.m.
: Departure for Corton Hill.

2:30 p.m.
Tour of Corton Hill, in groups of about 20 people.
Detailed program currently being developed.

4:30 p.m.
. Return by bus to the Louis Véry parking lot, followed by free time at the hotels.

7:00 p.m.
: Cocktails at the Couvent des Jacobins.

7:30 p.m.
Closing dinner at the Couvent des Jacobins.

10:30 p.m.
Return to hotels.

Accommodations:
The city of Beaune, a renowned tourist destination, is in high demand in June. That is why we
were unfortunately unable to reserve all the necessary rooms at the same
hotel.
Below is a list of hotels near the center of Beaune and the Louis
Véry parking lot, from where the buses will depart each morning. Each participant must book their
hotel directly, and we recommend that you book your room as soon as possible to avoid
disappointment.
For the 4 nights (June 8, 9, 10, and 11), we recommend the following in order of priority:
